China is that rare place that looks to the future while embracing its past. Come see where it’s been and where it’s headed on this incredible 14-day adventure through times both ancient and modern. Starting in Beijing, you’ll stop in at the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Great Wall before departing to Xi’an for a summit with the Terracotta Warriors. Later, enjoy three days in the rugged beauty of rural Yangshuo before winding it all up in bustling Hong Kong. In China, the future – and the past – is now.
Day 1 Beijing
Arrive at any time. Enjoy a Peking duck dinner with the group.
Day 2 Beijing
Explore ancient Beijing, including visits to the Forbidden City, winding streets of a hutong, and the Temple of Heaven.
Day 3 Beijing
Enjoy an included visit to the Great Wall.
Day 4 Beijing/Xi'an
After a free morning in Beijing, board a comfortable overnight sleeper that arrives into Xi'an early the following morning.
Day 5 Xi'an
Cycle the ancient city walls of Xian, later walk through the bustling food and artist stalls in the Muslim Quarter.
Day 6 Xi'an
Take a guided tour to visit the famous Terracotta Warriors, made up of more than 8,000 clay soldiers and hundreds of replica horses and chariots.
Day 7 Xi'an/Chengdu
After a free morning in Xi'an, then take bullet train to Chengdu. Enjoy a dinner of Sichuan hotpot.
Day 8 Chengdu
Watch the noble giant panda at the Giant Panda Breeding Center and check out the historic town of Huanglongxi.
Day 9 Chengdu/Yangshuo
Enjoy a free morning to explore Chengdu. Fly to Guilin and transfer to Yangshuo.
Day 10 Yangshuo
Take a cruise along the stunning Li River. Later, enjoy a traditional dinner at a G Adventures supported restaurant where rural women are working to create new opportunities for their families.
Day 11 Yangshuo
Enjoy a free day to explore Yangshuo and the surrounding area. There are plenty of activities available for all the family here.
Day 12 Yangshuo/Hong Kong
After a free morning in Yangshuo, transfer to Guilin and catch the train to Hong Kong. Enjoy an orientation walk of the city.
Day 13 Hong Kong
Climb Victoria Peak and admire the spectacular views over the whole city. In the evening, head down to the harbour front to watch the incredible light show illuminate the entire skyline of Kowloon.
Day 14 Hong Kong
Depart at any time.
