Enjoy a guided city tour of Jakarta. In the afternoon, depart for Bandung. Opt to see the traditional angklung orchestra.
Day 2 Jakarta/Bandung (1B)
Take the morning train to Yogyakarta enjoying beautiful scenery along the way. In the evening, opt to take in a dance performance by the Ramayana Ballet.
Day 3 Bandung/Yogyakarta (1B)
Drive to a village near Borobudur. Take a tour by horsecart through the village, and enjoy an included local lunch in the village. Later, visit Borobudur, the largest Buddhist sanctuary in the world.
Day 4 Yogyakarta (1B, 1L)
Drive to Solo (Surakarta), the traditional capital of the old Javanese Kingdom. En route, visit the Prambanan Temple complex, a lavish example of ancient architecture. In the afternoon, opt for a bike tour of the area.
Day 5 Yogyakarta/Surakarta (1B)
Continue the journey across the agricultural heartland of Java to Batu, a large hill resort surrounded by volcanic peaks on the lower reaches of Gunung Arjuna.
Day 6 Surakarta/Batu (1B)
Visit Mt Bromo, then enjoy a free afternoon with options to visit nearby waterfalls or wander around the village.
Day 7 Batu (1B)
Drive from Batu to Malang for a short flight to Sanur and enjoy some free time.
Day 8 Batu/Sanur (1B)
Enjoy some free time in Sanur.
Day 9 Sanur (1B)
Visit the Lake Danu Bratan Temple and take a walk through the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces before arriving at Munduk for the night. Enjoy some delicious Balinese cuisine.
Day 10 Sanur/Munduk (1B, 1D)
Drive through lush rice fields and winding mountain roads to Kintamani, then take a dip in the local hot springs.
Day 11 Munduk/Kintamani (1B)
Enjoy lunch at Senang Hati Foundation on your way to the cultural heart of Bali and take an orientation walk.
Day 12 Kintamani/Ubud (1B, 1L)
Enjoy a free day to explore exactly what interests you in Ubud. Opt to visit the Monkey Forest, numerous temples, rice paddies, and markets.
Day 13 Ubud (1B)
Visit Bersakih Temple and then journey to Candidasa – a superb beach location – perfect for relaxing. Opt to go snorkelling.
Day 14 Ubud/Candidasa (1B)
With more free time here, opt to visit the Tirta Gangga temple, take a diving course, or visit some secluded beaches along the coast.
Day 15 Candidasa (1B)
Take a ferry to Lombok and visit a Sasak traditional village en route to Kuta.
Day 16 Candidasa/Kuta (1B)
Spend a full day exploring the fishermen's village and enjoy a snorkelling trip before returning to Kuta.
Day 17 Kuta (1B)
Travel to Tetebatu to enjoy some easy trekking. Continue on to Senggigi for the night.
Day 18 Kuta/Senggigi (1B)
Before heading to the stunning Gili Islands, visit the Pusuk Monkey Forest on the slopes of the Rinjani Volcano and hike to a waterfall. Once at the islands, opt to swim, snorkel, or kick back and relax.
Day 19 Senggigi/Gili Trawangan (1B)
Enjoy a full day of white-sand beaches in the Gili Islands. Opt to go snorkelling, diving, horseback riding, or try some yoga.
Day 20 Gili Trawangan (1B)
Travel back to Bali by boat for a final night dinner and farewells.
Day 21 Gili Trawangan/Sanur (1B)
Depart at any time.
