Classic Hong Kong to Xi'an Adventure - Hong Kong
It’s a rare tour that can include the word “classic” in its name and have it feel like an understatement. This adventure packs a ton of pure, unfiltered China into 13 incredible days, starting with two days in bustling Hong Kong. From there, you’ll move on to scenic Yangshuo (home of the majestic limestone karsts), explore Yunnan (a showcase for China’s incredible ethnic diversity), hike the drop-dead gorgeous Tiger Leaping Gorge, meet pandas in Chengdu, and wrap it all up in Xi’an, starting point of the fabled Silk Road. Day 1 Hong Kong
Arrive at any time.
Day 2 Hong Kong/Yangshuo
Catch the bullet train to Guilin, then transfer to Yangshuo, nestled amongst the limestone karsts jutting out of the Li River.
Day 3 Yangshuo
Float along a tributary of the stunning Li River on a local boat. After, enjoy a traditional lunch at a G Adventures supported restaurant where rural women are working to create new opportunities for their families.
Day 4 Yangshuo
Full free day in Yangshuo. Opt to go biking or take a cooking class.
Day 5 Yangshuo/Lijiang
Catch a flight to Lijiang and take an orientation walk through the old town.
Day 6 Lijiang/Yongsheng County
Travel to Tiger Leaping Gorge and start on the famous hike. The route follows the stunning scenery of the Yangtze as it cuts through the gorge.
Day 7 Yongsheng County/Lijiang
Continue the hike through Tiger Leaping Gorge. After completing the trek, drive back to Lijiang.
Day 8 Lijiang
Enjoy a day to discover Lijiang. Opt to explore the UNESCO Heritage-listed Old Town or visit the Black Dragon Pool Park.
Day 9 Lijiang/Dali
Catch an express bus to Dali. Take an orientation walk, then explore the old town on our own.
Day 10 Dali
Enjoy a free day to explore this scenic town. Opt to rent a bike to visit Lake Erhai and explore the Villages along the lake.
Day 11 Dali/Chengdu
Fly from Dali to the vibrant, modern city of Chengdu.
Day 12 Chengdu/Xi'an
Visit the Panda Breeding Centre for an up-close experience with these gentle giants. Board a bullet train to Xi'an.
Day 13 Xi'an
Depart at any time.
