AccommodationThere are 346 rooms and suites and 40 villas furnished in an elegant colonial style, all with air conditioning, a private terrace or balcony, satellite TV, WiFi and tea/coffee making facilities. Suites also have a sound system, mini bar and Acqua di Parma amenities. The two-bedroom Family Suites are ideal if you’re travelling with kids, while the Presidential Suite opens onto a spacious terrace with private Jacuzzi. The Imelda Suite is more contemporary in style, with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two terraces (one with a Jacuzzi) and an indulgent soaking tub. The exclusive Casas Ducales have a separate entrance to the rest of the resort, plus extra benefits including butler service, a solarium with complimentary mid-morning Cava and nightly canapés in the lounge. The one- and two-bedroom villas are built from local volcanic stone, all with their own plunge pool, butler service, Bang & Olufsen sound system and various extra treats such as daily afternoon tea and a complimentary mini bar.
Restaurants And BarsEight restaurants offer plenty of choice. The main restaurant, El Bernegal, serves buffet breakfast with views of La Gomera from the terrace, while other options include La Brasserie by double-Michelin-starred chef, Pierre Résimont, the delightful Basque specialities on offer at SUA, and tasty Italian fare at La Trattoria. Next to the lake garden, Sensu offers Japanese fine dining and includes a raw sushi bar and robatayaki grill. There are also some more casual options down by the beach, and a whole host of bars dotted around the resort, many of which offer light bites and snacks.

FacilitiesBahia del Duque has five swimming pools (including one especially for kids), plus a tennis school with two tennis courts, a gym, Pilates, yoga, a bridge and billiards room, squash court, pitch and putt course and an observatory for stargazing at night. The wonderful wellness retreat has no less than 20 treatment rooms, five outdoor cabanas, a thalassotherapy pool and a private spa suite for couples. There are several golf courses nearby, and the resort can arrange activities including paddleboarding, windsurfing, scuba diving, paragliding and private yacht excursions. The Duqui Club lays on a brilliant programme of activities for children aged 4-12 yrs, and the Teen Lounge is equipped with a TV, PlayStation, table football and board games.
