South Africa Western Cape & Safari - South Africa
Combining the best of Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula with the winelands and a Sabi Sand Safari, this tour packs a big punch when it comes to unforgettable sights and experiences. Days 1 - 4 Arrive into Cape Town airport and transfer to Belmond Mount Nelson for a 4-night stay. The next morning, with your private guide, take a cable car to the top of Table Mountain and take in the awe-inspiring views. From this vantage point your guide can give you a good overview of the city, ready to head back down and start exploring. Visit Green Market Square and St George’s Cathedral, as well as Bo-Kaap and local art projects around Bree Street. On your third day, head out to explore the Cape Peninsula with your guide, taking in Clifton and Camps Bay before continuing to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, via Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breathtaking coastal drives. At the Cape you’ll have the option to take a funicular to the lighthouse at the top for spectacular views. Enjoy a final day in Cape Town at leisure. Days 5 - 6 Meet your guide and take the pretty drive to the Cape Winelands, stopping in Stellenbosch and Paarl for wine tastings along the way. Partake in a final tasting in Franschhoek, before checking in to Mont Rochelle for a 2-night stay. The next day is at leisure, so make the most of Franschhoek’s renowned culinary scene by sampling some of its award-winning cuisine, or take in a few more of the world’s best wine estates. Days 7 - 9 This morning, transfer by road to Cape Town airport and fly on to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport for three nights at the wonderful Ulusaba. Here you can enjoy daily morning and evening game drives in the private Sabi Sand Reserve, which encompasses 250 square miles and is well known for close encounters with the Big Five and the more elusive leopard. Day 10 Extend your holiday with two nights in Victoria Falls or, if you really must go home, transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport to connect with your flight back to the UK. 2-night extension to Victoria Falls Stay at Thorntree River Lodge for two nights and make the most of the daily complimentary activities, including the opportunity to take in the magnificent Victoria Falls, with a tour of the Zambian side and the Zimbabwean side (in dry season only), or explore more of Livingstone and the surrounding area with a canoe trip and picnic lunch, sunset boat cruise or games drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, to name just a few of the options. Important Information: Please note, some park fees/conservation levies are not included as they must be paid locally.Discover other hotels in Africa or have you considered the rest of South Africa, USA, Europe and Indian Ocean?
