Madrid & Old Castille - Madrid

Madrid not only has some of the finest art collections in the world at its many museums and galleries, it is also a wonderful base from which to explore the surrounding region. Our tour spends three days in the capital along with three visits further afield, to El Escorial, Toledo and Segovia. Naturally, Spanish art dominates the tour but we also see many works by Flemish masters, reminding us that the Spanish realm embraced the Low Countries. Charles V and Philip II were important patrons of Titian and we see several works by the artist during the tour.   ITINERARY
