Parador de Cruz, Tejeda - Gran Canaria
An environmentally friendly parador in a majestic setting. Owing its name to the impressive 17th century towering stone cross at its entrance, the typically Canarian building which houses Parador de Cruz de Tejeda, dates back to the 1930’s. Once a traditional restaurant, its latest conversion has transformed it into a high quality and environmentally-friendly parador in one of Gran Canaria's most appealing natural beauty spots at the crossroads of ancient royal trails which are now very popular with hikers.
Located in the very centre of Gran Canaria near the village of Tejeda, the parador boasts spectacular views over the Cruz de Tejeda mountain range and the Fraile and Bentayga hills. There are 43 guest rooms most of which boast majestic views over flowing rivers and dormant volcanoes. There is a splendid reception room with two impressive chimneys, and full spa facilities with an indoor/outdoor swimming pool which stretches out to the entrance of the nearby pine forest. The parador boasts a typically Canarian restaurant for deliciously traditional regional specialities.
