La Mendula - Costa Smeralda & the North East
With a private pool and spacious grounds, La Mendula provides a great option for a family holiday in the North East of Sardinia. The accommodation is divided into two levels, each with separate entrances, two bedrooms, an open plan living/dining room and a kitchen. Both levels are furnished to a good standard although in our opinion, the upper floor is slightly superior with a more modern feel. The lower part of the property is more traditional in style and due to being partially below ground, it remains pleasantly cool in the summer.
The villa is immersed in lush Mediterranean gardens and there is a large lawned area at the side of the property, which is ideal for children to play and run around. The swimming pool area will undoubtedly be the focal point of your stay at La Mendula: there are ample sun loungers around the pool along with a covered terrace, a built-in barbecue and fantastic country vistas.
For those who want to visit Sardinia for its beaches, they will not be disappointed… there are sublime stretches of sand within easy driving distance, from hidden little coves to the most glamorous beaches on the island. There is also a good selection of shops and restaurants about 4km away, as well as a number of nearby attractions worth visiting. Arzachena is renowned for its archaeological sites and the village of San Pantaleo attracts many visitors for its character, weekly market and bustling atmosphere.
