Spirit of Australia - Australia
This itinerary is a classic and the perfect introduction to a magnificent continent, encapsulating the true spirit of Australia. From the glorious city of Sydney, its iconic harbour skyline framed by two of the most recognisable structures on earth, to the very centre of the Australian Outback where you’ll stay within a kangaroo’s hop of Uluru before flying onwards to Queensland, home to the Great Barrier Reef, undisputedly one of mother nature’s greatest gifts. Days 1-4 Sydney On arrival at Sydney Airport, you will be transferred to your chosen hotel for a 4-night stay. The list of Sydney-side attractions is endless but we’ve included a harbour cruise, with a local operator who offers a relaxed, small group experience on a 52ft motor yacht. Other must-do experiences include the Bondi to Coogee walk, perhaps treat yourself to a drink in the rooftop bar at the Coogee Pavilion afterwards. A swim in the Bondi Icebergs pool, a Bondi landmark for 100 years, and a performance at the Sydney Opera House (we can get you behind the scenes too!). If you want to explore further afield then look to the vine-clad hills of the Hunter Valley or the cool haze of the Blue Mountain, both less than 2 hours from Sydney. Days 5-6 Ayers Rock Resort From Sydney fly to Uluru (Ayers Rock) for a 2-night stay amidst a landscape which is as far removed from a city skyline as you can get. Sunrise and sunset tours are the order of the day here and we’ve included an Uluru sunset experience. If however you want to splash out, why not stay at Longitude 131°, a luxury desert base-camp where your meals and exclusive touring are included and you can watch the ever-changing colours of the sunrise over Uluru, quite literally, from the comfort of your bed. Days 7-13 Port Douglas After a few days you’ll swap desert trails for the emerald green canopy of the ancient Daintree, the world’s oldest surviving rainforest followed by the aquamarine hues of the Great Barrier Reef. Based in Port Douglas for 7 nights with car hire included, you’re perfectly positioned to enjoy all that tropical North Queensland has to offer. We’ve included an outer reef catamaran sailing trip on one day of your stay but other reef experiences are available including scenic helicopter flights. Keep your eyes peeled for crocs with a wildlife cruise on the Daintree River or head inland and go chasing waterfalls through the Atherton Tablelands. This tour features New South Wales, the Northern Territory & Queensland. Holiday Name : Spirit of AustraliaReference : PT
