AccommodationThere are just 77 villas - 33 on the island and 44 suspended over the water - typified by high ceilings and bright, contemporary interiors. All villas have a private pool, with views of the tropical gardens or the Indian Ocean from your private terrace, and butler service is included as standard. In-room amenities include LCD satellite TV with Netflix, Bang & Olufsen BeoVision entertainment system, iPod dock, high speed WiFi, air conditioning, bathroom with rainforest shower and separate tub, tea/coffee making facilities and mini bar. One, two and three bedroom options are available, and most spectacular of all is the sprawling John Jacob Astor Estate, named after the founder of St. Regis and featuring three bedrooms, private gym, cinema room, spa suites, three staff quarters, a large infinity pool, Jacuzzi, two plunge pools and a fully furnished kitchen.
Restaurants And BarsThe St. Regis Maldives offers 7 restaurants and bars, including modern Japanese Kaiseki-style cuisine at T-Pan, flavoursome Middle Eastern delights at Cargo and delicious hand-made pizzas at Crust & Craft. The al fresco Alba, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, draws on culinary influences from both East and West, while Orientale is a pan-Asian venue with a tempting sushi bar. You can also enjoy a number of unique private dining experiences, including a sandbank picnic, a five-course dinner in the wine cellar or a floating breakfast in your villa plunge pool.

FacilitiesThe overwater Iridium Spa has six treatment rooms, including two Ayurvedic suites with private steam rooms, plus a sauna, relaxation terraces with soaking tubs and an invigorating hydrotherapy pool. There is also a salon, fitness centre and wellness activities including yoga and acupuncture. The island has a large outdoor infinity pool plus a separate kids’ pool, a PADI dive and watersports centre, outdoor tennis court, beachfront library, boutique and observatory tower. The Children’s Club for kids aged 4-12 yrs organises fun activities including yoga, painting and origami, and also has plenty of video and board games. Older kids and adults will enjoy the games room, with table tennis, foosball, air hockey and a pool table.
